Editor/Motion Graphics Designer

Summary: (The Elevator Pitch – “who I am”): The Editor/Motion Graphics Designer will help a talented creative and production team create outstanding video content.


Role: (“What I do”): Editing agency projects including traditional television and digital commercials, short and long form content, case studies, proof of concept work and to be the enabler of creative ideas and experimentation.


Accountabilities: (“What I am responsible for” — detail processes, systems, people and policies owned by the role):

  • Editing agency projects including traditional television and digital commercials, short and long form content, case studies, proof of concept work and to be the enabler of creative ideas and experimentation.
  • This role will not be solely resigned to the classic technical aspect of editing, the editor will also be involved in ideation and production in a cross discipline agency environment.
  • Collaborate with creative and production in ideation process.
  • Motion graphics, type design creation
  • Asset management, storage & archiving
  • Codec and format conversion
  • Music and sound design searches
  • Sourcing stock footage


Competencies: (Skills I have):

  • 5+ years of commercial or short form content editing experience with proficiencies in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Some experience behind prosumer cameras is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Editor should understand the fundamentals of storytelling and the language of film.
  • The editor is inherently curious, challenging convention and never quite satisfied.
  • The editor is organized and meticulous, but retains a sense of humor and understands at the end of the day our goal is to entertain and engage.
  • The editor should also have a solid understanding of various camera platforms and their respective codecs, music and sound mixing and basic sound design.


Qualifications and Tools of the Trade:

  • 5+ years of commercial or short form content editing experience with proficiencies in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
