Digital Media Buying Specialist:
Social Media

Position Overview: The Digital Media Buying Specialist: Social Media is responsible for negotiating, executing and measuring social media campaigns across Cole & Weber’s diverse client portfolio. This position will also be responsible for analysis of social media performance in order to optimize social campaigns, as well as help influence the overall marketing planning approach.

Reports To: Senior Director: Content, with visibility into Media Planning team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, negotiating, purchasing and measuring both paid and owned social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and evolving social platforms
  • Social media benchmarking and metric analytics
  • Managing multiple, diverse projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines for ad placement and reports consistently
  • Preparing and presenting social media analyses and recommendations for optimization
  • Summarizing and communicating marketing results, trends and recommendations
  • Ability to manage execution and optimization of campaigns

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience purchasing and optimizing paid social media within an advertising agency or client-side environment
  • Proficiency with CPE/CPC/CPV/CPM-run campaigns
  • Knowledge of demand gen versus engagement-based social campaigns
  • Solid understanding of marketing and media planning principles
  • Experience with third-party ad servers
  • Experience using technology to connect with key target audience segments
  • Experience configuring and reporting Google Analytics
  • Foundational understanding of the programmatic digital media space
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills:

  • Must have proven experience working successfully with creative teams and clients in developing digital and social media strategies
  • Highly developed analytical thinking
  • Understanding of Content Marketing/SEO/SEM space
  • Up-to-date with social media trends and innovations
  • Must be well organized to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently and have excellent time management skills
