Europe and Japan, here I come

I have been blessed with the opportunity to tour Europe and Japan with Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Chiwoniso as her bassist.

I spend my days (and some of my off time, considering the fact that I'm an on-call employee) as a network administrator at Cole & Weber United, an ad agency in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. In the time that I spend away from my desk, I'm usually at a jazz bar or an R&B or Neo Soul show somewhere in the city. Every once in awhile, I may actually get up on stage and play a song or two.

I received a call a few months ago from my "uncle" Thaddeus who happens to be an extraordinary guitar player, asking if I wanted to do a show in L.A. with him. I couldn't say no. That show turned out to be two shows at the Ghetty museum. It was pretty amazing to say the least. I guess I must have done well enough in L.A. because I was asked to join Chiwo and the band again on this tour. This is my first time touring and my first time overseas. I expect it to be the experience of a lifetime.
